City of Fourères was our nice lunch stop--an opportunity to walk up to St. Sulpice to fine panoramic views--down through garden to castle walls--to Ville Basse timbered houses along the rushng creek--

Mont St. Michel--what a great look--on the horizon in the distance appeared to hang above the misty fields--the remarkable windy night view lite by flood lights--over a thousand year Christian pilgrimage island site--the orginal medieval hermit-monks protected by huge mud flat with the worlds second larges flood tides which we missed seeing occur--extreme phase achleive a speed of twelve miles per hour and fifty foot hight change along with areas of quick sand--walking new causeway over mud flats and snapping photos brought the realization of the massive size and magnitude of human effort require to create and lift the huge stones into place--over night visit allowed unique crowdless time to wonder--restaurants on the lower level former medieval forifification--walk the mid level ramparts near our hotel room--a dawn visit to the top fortified abbey for monks service--local guided tour of upper level--surprise in Refectory the monks dinning hall--a monks chapele dawn service--a supberb experience
